Going into this game, the two teams were separated by only 1 point making for an enthralling fixture. Twyford looking to double their tally and Central United looking for a second win of the season.
Jack Walton, Toby Heard and Jakub Kulczyki got off to a nervous start in the middle of the park unable to break through the Central midfield. Our opponents tried hard to run at our defence but strong challenges from Aaron Long kept the score tied at nil-nil going into half time.
The second half, Konnor Tebby and Jack Walton pressurised the Central defenders and got a couple of shots off on target. Billy Curtis and Robert Wakeham cleared any advancing challenges from Central until a strike just a minute and half from the final whistle rocked the Twyford goal and dashed any hopes of a win. The game ended 1-0 to Central United who move 4 points clear from our team at the foot of the table.
