Match Report - Twyford Spartans - B U11's 2012/13

Type: EDYL = Exeter & District Youth League

Today we faced a very stern test against a good Feniton side,the away team started strongly and broke into our box and scored an early goal. from that the old team may well have conceded again and lost the game but not this season the whole team started to pass the ball with yestyn,Henry and Aiden linking well down our left giving us a few good chances one of these moves involved the whole team ending in a strike from Aiden which hit the bar the ever present defence of Jamie,Harry and MIGHTY Matt kept things safe at the back and after a good challenge from Harry and a pass through Angus the ball broke to Aiden who crossed for Jack at the far post to score to give us a 1-1 score at half time .

                                                Ths second half saw a debut for Chris who got stuck in from the off tackling hard also we had Ben and William having first and second games respectivly  both doing really well in a very hard half of football Feniton came back at hard at us creating chances giving Alex in goal chance to show how good he is with several good saves especially a double save near the end ,our second goal came from another strong tackle with the ball breaking to Henry who again used his amazing vision to put a ball in spilting the defence releasing Aiden who finished well the rest of the half was a combination of end to end football and determination to get a result the score at the end was a 2-1 win,this was a great game of football but yet again our boys were terific from Alex right through to Chris all of them deserve loads of praise . A special mention to Henry who was asked by myself to go in the midfield and worked up and down the pitch the whole game well done ,
