Twyford Spartans U11's took on Exeter Youth League leaders Sidmouth at the weekend and inflicted only the second defeat of the season on the leaders. Twyford took the lead midway through the first half when winger and man of the match Lewis Hill picked up the ball in his own half and beat two players before hitting the Sidmouth byeline and sending over an inch perfect cross for Reagan Holwell to hit into the bottom corner. Sidmouth came back into the game but defenders Edward Heard and Luke Broomfield kept them at bay and when they did get through they couldn't get pass keeper Adam Jarret who pulled off some excellent saves. The Twyford midfield of Hill, Owen Rendall,Sam Jones and Max Zilch covered every inch of the pitch ,whilst striker Ben Morgan chased every ball to ensure a fabulous result for the team.
