Twyford Monaco were in free-scoring mood in their away game at Sidmouth with Nick Merriam bagging seven of the goals in a 12-2 victory. From Tom RobertsÂÂ early headed goal Monaco attacked to the final minute. Any threat to the Monaco goal was quickly snuffed out by the back four of Tom Haines, Alex Wright, Matt Gillett and Harry Venner. The passing of Aaron Farebrother, Toby Hogan and Anthony Ansell was exceptional as they created chance after chance for the Attacking trio of Harry Denson, Dan Verrier and Merriam.
Monaco had a 7 ÂÂ 0 half time lead thanks to a Verrier strike, a Fairbrother penalty, a Merriam hat trick and a good finish from Denson and continued the scoring into the second half. Merriam and Denson were causing problems for the home defence all game with Denson having a hand in MerriamÂÂs four goal second half haul before capping a fine display with his second of the game. A spirited Sidmouth side were rewarded for their efforts with two late goals.
