Twyford Lyon got their season back on track with a hard fought 5  1 victory at home to Staplegrove. The heavy conditions did not allow much flowing football and it was from a goalmouth scramble that Tom Haines poked Lyon into the lead. Early in the second half Ricky Morrey Jones goal was breached from the visitors first effort which shook Lyon into life. Nick Merriam ran onto a Dan Reed through ball to restore the lead and soon after squared the ball for Dan Verrier to find the top corner to ease the nerves. Merriam broke away again to make it four before Verrier claimed his second of the game. There were good performances from Joseph Duncan, Tom Lazarus, Jordan Haskings and Toby Hogan.
