Match Report - Twyford Barca - B U9's 2009/10

Taking onboard some important encouragement following the first game, Twyford Barca fought gallantly for the opening five minutes of the fixture looking much more positive with Keane Moore and Louie Bolduc creating a couple of chances. Aaron Long, Toby Place and Jakub Kulczyki contained the early advances of Whipton Youth as both teams seemed locked in a stalemate. It was the visitors who opening their account with an excellent looping cross beating a leaping Konnor Tebby. This goal broke down the barriers and was soon followed by two further goals in quick succession. As the two teams were called in, it was 4 - 0 and a fair reflection of the first fifteen minutes.

Whipton Youth dominated much of the play in the second half keeping possession and creating chances. Twyford Barca had some good link up play between Keane Moore and Louie Bolduc but were unable to penetrate the Whipton defence. The game ended 9-0 after 30 minutes although our players showed much improvement we need to strengthen our discipline in defence. With a long season ahead and plenty of effort in training, I am confident these results will soon be a thing of the past.
