Type: EDYL = Exeter & District Youth League

DATE TYPE FIXTURE GOAL SCORERS
24.10.2009 EDYL Seaton Town v Twyford Barca

The opening minutes of this fixture were faced paced end to end action with some excellent runs coming down the left of midfield from Billy Curtis who slid a number of balls into the box for striker Liam Gillbard. Seaton's physical strength began to dominate as the first half progressed as our opponents gained more possession. The scoring was opened after 8 minutes from a thundering shot from Seaton Town. A second goal for the home side came a couple of minutes before the end of a close first half.

Substitute Toby Heard came on for Billy Curtis in the second half but was short lived after an injury to Konnor Tebby required Billy to return to the field. Toby Heard and Brandon Davies linked up extremely well in the middle of the park providing some excellent through passes to Liam Gillbard but Seaton defended well and prevented any attempts on their goal.

Aaron Long was a rock in the Twyford defence but was unable to prevent a couple of quickly conceded goals that seemed to give Seaton a spring in their step, their confidence noticeably grown midway through the second half. The game ended 7 - 0 to Seaton but our Twyford side fought extremely well and there were some glimmers of brilliance on which we can build.
