From the whistle, Twyford Barca dominated possession using the left and right wings to maximum benefit through the efforts of Toby Heard and Eden Reynell. We continued to push forward and create a number of chances from Jack Walton. Matt Reed battled hard in the centre of midfield, shrugging off the opposition defence and creating space for our wide players.
Our defenders; Sam Walker and Zack Veen marshalled our box and denied the few advances made by the Barrellers but at the break the teams went in level although we looked the most likely to take the lead.
The second half started nervously, the Barallers appeared to grow in confidence and marked our players much tighter. Substitute Patrick Smith won a number of physical challenges enabling our team to build momentum moving forwards and through a thumping strike from Toby Heard we took the lead after 4 minutes.
Our goal seemed to inspire our opponents and they fought back down the left wing, crossing the ball in and a scuffle in the box levelled the match.
The game ended in a draw, but an excellent team performance and a game we showed every potential of winning.
