Match Report - Twyford Spartans - B U7's 2010/11

Type: EDYL = Exeter & District Youth League

Twyford due to illness had to field four new players and it takes a while for new players to adjust to amatch rather than training. Also the players missing were the goalie and all the defence. So it was with great praise that despite playing a goalie and six attackers Twyford managed two wins from four games. One thing for the league to look at is that Twyford played four games straight off which amounts to 64 minutes virtually without a break. As for each player Freddie Soper was everywhere and performed out of his skin, somewhat reluctantly Samuel Cottrell went in goal and was absolutely tremendous. The game at times passed Ellis Passmore by but at other times he did really well and showed signs that he will be excellent when he gets used to his new surroundings. The Mallinson twins, Luke and Elliott, will improve with more games and touches. Thomas Head performed well but found it harder on small pitches which allowed defenders to mass. Luke Oswald scored an excellent goal but needs to get more invovled by looking for the ball more. Hayden Nutt is too nice but has good ability when he has the ball
