Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U14's 2010/11

Type: DGFL = Devon Girls Football League

This was always going to be a difficult game against local opposition.  The Twyford girls began the game battling hard putting in tackles to deny Tiverton from scoring.  This game was a scrappy game with both sets of girls closing down the opposition as soon as possible.  In goal Amy Sanders pulled off some good saves.  The defence for Chloe Moore, Alice Saunders, Laura Huxtable and Spam Edmunds worked hard for the team but were kept busy by a strong Tiverton team.  By half the time the score was 5-0 to Tiverton.  In the second half Tiverton changed their formation with a view to score goals and this is what happened with Twyford losing the game 13-0. 

Alice Kent, Laura Kent, Milie McLear, Robyn Freed Mollie Fawell, Lois Mackerness and Haidee Fairclough all played well, never giving up and all the girls are a credit to Twyford Spartans Youth Football Club and as a Manager I am proud to coach such a considerate friendly group of girls.
