Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U14's 2010/11

This was our first mid week game and we travelled to Exeter for what was going to be a well contested game against Phoenix.  The game flowed with end to end football by both teams but despite many attempts no goals were scored by either team. 

The game was played in a good manner and the girls were pleased to have earned their first point of the season with this 0-0 draw.  This game showed how the girls can play football together and can put some good moves together to produce good attacking play.  Well done to goalkeepers Amy Sanders and Robyn Freed who played a half each and managed to keep clean sheets.  The midfield of Alice Kent, Laura Kent, Katie Adcock, Mollie Fawell and Alice Butler worked hard for the team and defenders Laura Huxtable, Spam Edmunds and Beth Holloway played well but Chloe Moore had the game of her life working hard closing down and distributing the ball around the pitch.  Strikers Lois Mackerness, Robyn Freed, Amy Sanders adn Shannon Grover had many shots on target.  Anna-Mae came on in the second half and produced some excellent passes to the strikers to put them through on goal.

Another good performance well done everyone.
