Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U12's 2010/11

Type: DGFL = Devon Girls Football League

Today we went to the english riviera to visit plainmoor ,but the weather was not great heavy rain and strong winds made  the conditions  very hard for both teams.The game started in the same way as our other games against the pinks with both teams battling hard in midfield and as the half went on plainmoor used the conditions to there advantage with long throws and corners coming into our goal , but Nicole and Kim at the back stood strong and organised the rest of the team well and Georgia looked comfortable in goal despite the conditions ,but with the conditions getting worse we conceded at regular intervals but as is always the case the team kept going.

                                          The second half saw us come out strong Phoebe and Hannah moving the ball well into the pinks half and created chances and a few corners and attacking throw ins with Eve and Kim getting shots on goal but as we pushed forward Plainmoor broke and scored a couple of very good goals as the game neared its end we finally scored a well deserved goal, the game today was hard for both teams our girls deseve massive praise for never giving in despite us being short of some players the team did themselves proud well done all.

                            A vey special mention to last weeks team who had a very good result against a very strrong side in my absence and thanks to those who ran the team.
