Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U12's 2010/11

Type: DGFL = Devon Girls Football League

Today we played a well organised westexe side ,the game started with tywford having a good share of the ball defending well when needed

as the half went on westexe got into the game forcing us to defend well and getting a couple of good saves from our keeper as is somtimes the case after soaking up a lot of pressure we hit westexe on the break and scored the opening goal as the game went on so westexe came back and at the half we were 3-1 down.

                In the second half we were forced to change things around Caitlen in goal had to come off due to an injury Eve stepped in and Chloe came on at the back with Jordan joining the midfield we had a better balance to the side and played very well especially at the back with Hannah and Kim playing very well improving everytime they play we had to soak up a fair bit of pressure as the game went on but when we did break forward we forced a couple of good saves from there keeper especially a great freekick from Emily. Jordan,Amellia and Phoebe hassled there midfield forcing them into some mistakes and i felt that we could have scored at least 1 more goal but sadley we went down 5-1 in the end.

                                  This was a much improved performance each time they play this team is getting better and better all the team WERE FANTASTIC ,special mention to captain Kim and Hannah at the back (hope your heads ok Hannah) and also Chloe who has not played very many games and came on and gave agreat performance making several goal saving tackles well done . Well done today choco bars for all next week
