This was very much a David and Goliath battle between the two Twyford Spartans sides. With Twyford Madrid chasing the league title, their big guns were out in force skipping around our players and shooting from distance. We fought hard to contain their advances and Toby Heard, Jakub Kulczyki, Jack Walton and Konnor Tebby managed to put in some strong tackles denying a whitewash.
Second half, Twyford Barca started to show signs of fatigue and dropped off the pace leaving bigger gaps. A goal straight from the kick off dealt a cruel blow to our team. Twyford Madrid continued to dominate the play bombarding Aaron Long with shot after shot. The final whistle was a welcome relief at 6-0.
