Match Report - Twyford Spartans - B U9's 2010/11

Type: EDYL = Exeter & District Youth League

Our first game of the season saw us up against a strong Pinhoe side. We started well moving the ball through the midfield well with new striker Reece holding the upwell, but as the half went on Pinhoe grew in strength forcing us back making our new defenders Adam and Matthew work hard and forcing Isaac into some good stops, but we were unable to stop Pinhoe from scoring at regular intervals and at the half we were well behind despite a superb free kick from Alex hitting the post.  In the second half we changed things around putting Henry in goal and Harry at the back we started to play a lot better with Alex and Matt controlling the midfield putting a great ball through for Reece to finish well on his left foot for his first of the season as the half went on we created more chances forcing an own goal. All in all a much better performance which saw us win the half but sadly we had to much to do to win the match unlucky boys a good performance against a strong side.
