Todays first game against Thorverton saw a familier start with our opponents attacking hard passing the ball well and scoring 2 early goals after this bad start we started to get back into the game the defense battling hard and clearing the ball on several occasions releasing Lennon to make several strong runs, midway through the half the ball broke to rees and he made a good run and cooly put the ball in the bottom corner leaving it 2-1 at half time.
In the second half we dominated possesion Harry,Will and Lennon battled hard Alex and Adam kept defending well protecting our goal ,as the half went on we looked the more likely to score but as i so often the case one slip and we found ourselves 3-1 down then with almost the last kick of the game Harry hit a shot that brushed the post. A good game to watch with our boys doing there best but yet again giving a team a 2-0 start cost us but i cant fault the effort.A special mention to Matthew Henson who took a ball straight in the face which saved a certain goal. This is what our team is all about. WELL DONE BOYS.
