Twyford Monaco’s failure to take early chances turned out to be their undoing as they lost 4-0 at home to Stoke Hill. As usual this season they exploded out of the traps but the pressure and half chances they had early on came to nothing and the visitors quality in front of goal was the only difference. Richard Sandiford and Alex Goldsborough in the full back positions played very well as did Anthony Ansell in midfield but Monaco found themselves three down at half time without having been under much pressure.

The second half was more effective as Monaco upped their game and started to pass the ball but Stoke Hill are a strong side and it needed something extra to get back into the game. The visitors coped well with a very strong back four and a goalkeeper that looked very assured and made an excellent stop near the end.
