Twyford Monaco had the chance to enjoy cup action and have a break from their tough league campaign aginst Pinhoe. And enjoyed it they did with a comfortable 5 - 1 win. Pinhoe put up stubborn resistance all game but never really threatened Monaco's goal and it wasnt until the last few minutes when legs were tiring that the visitors beat Ryan Clarke for their consolation.

Monaco were out of the traps early and playing with a five man midfield meant that Dan Verrier and Harry Denson could get up alongside Nick Merriam in attack. A beautiful Tom Roberts throughball with the outside of his foot put Merriam away and his square pass was slooted in by Verrier for 1-0. Verrier's cross-shot was then turned in by Merriam after it came off the post and although Monaco had nearly all the possesion the half ended at 2-0. Noah Wright had another excellent game at fullback ad spent most of the half attacking down the flank.

The second half was a continuation of the first and the pressure didnt let up. Merriam claimed the third from a sweet pass from Verrier and Bradley Kelly added the fourth from the edge of the box. Matt Watts produced the pass of the day which found Tom Parkins charging into the area to score his first goal since rejoining Twyford.
