Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U14's 2010/11

Type: DGFL = Devon Girls Football League

This was the third meeting this season of these two teams.  Twyford girls knew it was going to be tough game as they always are against Tiverton Town.  With three goals going in against the girls in the first 10 minutes we all thought it was going to be one of those nights.  After the third goal went in the girls seemed to come to life and began to defend and close down the Tiverton girls and this style of play meant they only scored one more goal in the first half to make the half time score 4-0 to Tiverton.

The girls came out in the second half continuing to close down the Tivvy girls and all the girls worked hard with Amy Sanders pulling off some outstanding saves.  Tiverton then scored again.  Instead of the girl's heads dropping the continued to play and were awarded a free kick.  Alice Butler provided an excellent free kick which fell the Robyn Free to slot home.  This goal was well deserved by the team as they worked hard all through the game.  Tiverton then stepped up the gas to score three more goals. 

Again another good display by this wonderful group of girls.  Well Done to you all.
