Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U12's 2011/12

Type: DGFL = Devon Girls Football League

The first game of the season saw us back at Ottery St Mary a venue and team we all enjoy visiting.The game started with us passing the ball well and forcing  an early corner from which Emily scored via a deflection but we failed to take control of the game and let osm back in with a well taken goal the next 10 mins were almost a carbon copy leaving us 2-2 midway through the half we continued to attack with Jordan taking a goal well , Chloe and Lauren kept the back tighter and Lydia played well in the mid the game carried on at a furious pace and at the half we had a 4-4 draw.

                                         The second half was a much tighter game we were much more organised at the back Ellie in goal looked more confident, as the half went on we battled hard with Holly in midfield battling for everything and we created some chances putting the ball wide several times and another challenge from Holly saw the ball break for Emilly who played the ball through for Ruby who hit the ball hard and low across the keeper to hit what turned out to be the winning goal. The game finished with us defending well against a very good OSM side credit to all the girls for a great game.

                                     Ellie in goal played  well Lauren and this years captain Chloe worked very well at the back midfielders Jordan ,Hollie and Lydia worked very hard Ruby and Emily led the line fantastically again with Ruby getting that winning goal well done all.
