Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U12's 2011/12

Type: DGFL = Devon Girls Football League

This was the first time the 12s had been out for a while and on a pleasant day in Torquay we started strongly using the large playing area well,as the half progressed we kept the ball well with Emily and Lydia linking up to create chances Jordan was her usual tireless and willing runner and between them they created the first goal for Emily there  was then a period of end to end stuff both teams getting there fair share of the ball and making it a very good watch Chloe and Ruby at the back were strong and very well organised with Lauren supporting well from the mid and Ellie in goal commanding her area at the half we went in 2-0 up.

                                The second half started with more of the same a slight change in formation saw Ruby move to the mid and Lauren move into defence and Holly come on for Lydia, Holly ran willingly and hastled plainmoor in the midfield and we started to control the game and it was not long before Emily got her hatrick,but as the half went on Plainmoor showed great spirit aand got right back in the game scoring a goal and dominating the game for long periods of time and putting us under a great deal of pressure  but as is so often the case we broke and Emily got another goal we then saw a couple of outstanding saves from Ellie which kept us in the game the game ended at 5-2 to us but by no means was this easy and we had to work very hard the whole team was very good today giving  there all an outstanding team performance well done to you all,
