Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U15's 2011/12

Twyford girls started the game well and kept the Ashmoor girls under control working hard as a team then they seemed to switch off with a defensive error giving away the first goal.  The girls were playing on a 3G pitch and found the speed of the ball hard to cope with especially as the ball was bouncing all over the place and accidently caught a player on her shoulder and was unlucky to be awarded a free kick against her from which Ashmoor scored their second.  Just before half time Ashmoor made it three.

The second half produced a totally different display from the Twyford girls with them all playing for each other and working hard.  They had many attempts on goal but good defending and goalkeeping by Ashmoor gave them a clean sheet.  Unfortunately Millie took a ball in the face with bits of rubber enetering eye resulting in her not being able to continue.  Despite hard work by the defensive team, Ashmoor scored their fourth goal.

Well done girls they are putting in some good performances and need to believe in themselves more as they have the potential to go on a put in winning performances.
