15.10.2011 EDYL Twyford Bayern v Inter Heavitree Brandon Davis (1), Eden Reynell (1)

Twyford Bayern played there first home fixture of the season and were very unlucky to come away as the losing side. It was a game of two halves as Twyford dominated the first and Inter Heavitree finding it difficult to break down a well organised and hard working Twyford Side. Twyford took the lead when Eden Reynell, who had already twice tested the Inter Heavitree keeper, took an excellent first touch put him through on goal and his pace got him to the ball before the keeper to toe poke home and excellent finish. Brandon Davis and Toby Heard worked extremely hard in the midfield and got Twyford playing some excellent passing football but their second ball came when Zack Veen's lobbed pass bounced perfectly to Brandon Davis who's well controlled half volley looped into the top corner to put Twyford 2-0 up. Just before half time the excellent Aaron Long bravely blocked a shot which unluckily struck him on the arm and Inter Heavitree were awarded a penalty. Jack Walton, who had had a fairly quiet afternoon so far outwitted the Inter Heavitree Striker and saved the penalty diving to his left. The loss of Toby Heard affected Twyford in the second half as they battled to maintain there lead with Loius Bolduc, Aaron Long, Zack Veen and Sam Davey managing to stop any clear goal scoring oppurtunities for Inter Heavitree. The lack of a sub toke its toll as eventually a tired looking Twyford side came undone when Inter Heavitree grabbed a goal back. Twyford looked dangerous on the counter attack with the pace and skillful running of Eden Reynell and Brandon Davis but tired legs and heavy touches meant that no clear cut chances were made. Inter Heavitree's secong goal was slightly controversal as the impressive Jack Walton seemed to make a very good save only for the ball to appear to be kicked from his hands and chipped in by for the equaliser. Twyford continued to look fatigued and Inter Heavitree grabbed a winner on the counter attack when their midfielder ran through the middle and toe poked the ball into the bottom corner. It was a competetive game played in the right spirit and a draw would have been a fair result but Inter took the points but despie this Twyford again have many posotives to take into the next game and the rest of the season. Standing out for Twyford were Jack Walton, Aaron Long, Sam Davey and Eden Reynell. Jim Harper also have a solid debut.
