Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U12's 2011/12

This was always going to be a tough against a very good Exmouth side whos position in the league does not do them any justice it was very nervy with Exmouth having the best of the hal``f the second half was a bettrer game both teams going for it Exmouth were winning the midfield battle but not really creating much we had some good strikes but the keeper was playing well one such midfield battle saw the ball break for Exmouth and they were 1 on 1  with the keeper and took the chance well to leave us 0-1 down as the half developed we worked very hard but were not getting the clear cut chances untill we had a break the ball broke for Ruby who finished well across the keeper for 1-1. This was the turning point we grew in confidence and pushed on to create several half chances and corners then came the point which changed the game a good cross came over for us and the defnder on the post handled the ball for a penalty to us which Ruby took well the rest of the game saw us holding on a bit but the girls showed great spirit and saw it out .

       This was a great game our players should be very proud of themselves and a special mention to the great support from family and friends and even our resiident ref and his mum and dad were there (you know who you are ) well done to all but especially the girls
