The final round of league games took place on a sunny but windy day in Tavistock with Twyford lying in second place at the beginning of the day needing to hold their nerve to secure the runners up spot.We started nervously with a defeat and draw but then relaxed as we were victorious against ROC ,who were lying in third.We did playa strenghtened Torquay side who forced a stalemate before playing arguably our finest game of the season eeking out a 1-0 win vs champions elect Newton Soccability.With a somewhat bizarre goal from Carl direct from the corner kick.After that game we played a bit of Jeckyll and Hyde losing poorly to Bideford before regaining some composure to defeat Exeter grecians .Our last game of the day petered out into a predicable draw but we had done enough during the day to secure the runners up trophy in our first season. Well done to ALL the players who competed this season sometimes its not been easy but mostly weve won through and grown as a team.Bring on next season
