Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U14's 2012/13

Under 14 Girls - what a start to the match. The wind was howling and the rain at times was almost horizontal but the girls braved the elements and fought a battle.

The first fifteen minutes they held firm with lots of running and some good defending. The team between them kept the shots at bay with our new goalie Shannon stopping any that got through on target. The midfield didn't give up with Lydia and Nicole making some good runs down the wings but we just couldn't finish the good moves off.

The ball started to stay down our end more and more with Plainmoor managing to score six by half time.

Twyford didn't give up and fought well in the second half against strong and skillful opponents who managed to score six more in the second half. All the girls gave 100% and the new reshaped team have plenty of courage and spirit. Twyford we will watch you grow and progress the goals will come along with the points,To all the team well done.
