Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U14's 2012/13

The game kicks off on time and the girls start with confidence.Not taking chances and playing safe. Ashmoor could not break them down and after seven minutes Ashleigh H breaks free to make it 1-0.

The game went from end to end with chances for both teams but Twyford had the upper hand when the whistle went for half time.

Second half starts with much of the same with our attack running onto some good through balls from midfield.Ashmoors defence was eventually broken after 20 minutes play with Ashleigh H getting a second.Twyford were looking strong but Ashmoor had not given up.They managed to get past our defence after 25 minutes to pull back to 2-1 .

Which set it up for a tense final 10 minutes but with Ashmoor pushing forward looking for the equaliser and Twyford breaking with some excellent through balls. One of which Ashleigh G scores from to make it 3-1.

The game was far from over and with five minutes remaining Ashmoor latch onto a loose ball in defence to score 3-2 and with three minutes remaining Ashmoor get a shot at goal which somehow found its way past several players into the net 3-3.

Three minutes left and both teams were looking for the winner the whistle goes and its full time.

A thoroughly entertaining game for which all players gave 100% Next week same place same time for the semi final of the cup.If we play with the same commitment as this week we could well get a result which could see us in the cup final.
