Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U14's 2012/13

The game kicked off on time on a beautiful sunny but cold day. The girls started as they finished last week full of confidence attacking and defending well.Playing safely and taking the game to Ashmoor.The teams seemed to be well matched and the game was end to end but unfortunately no goals by half time.

Second half and much of the same.Then after 18 minutes Ashmoor manage to score what must have been the luckiest mishit pass in history as it looped over and into the back of the net.1-0 to Ashmoor but Twyford did not allow there heads to drop. They attacked and pushed the team five points ahead of them in the league as they left two defenders only in pursuit of the equaliser. Unfortunately it did not come and in the dying seconds were caught on the break as Ashmoor scored a second .

Our girls played with heart and soul giving a very watchable and entertaining game( on the edge of your seat stuff ) Twyford are going from strength to strength the goals could have gone the other way but just not this game.

Keep on training hard girls .Your perseverance and hard work is paying off . Here's looking forward to the next game whoever the opposition is beware.
