Twyford Monaco had an uncharacteristic off day when they were beaten 5 – 1 at home to Crediton Youth. They went a goal down midway through the first half from a breakaway but soon equalized when Matt Watts’ high free kick into the area was misjudged by the keeper allowing Bradley Kelly to turn the ball in. Monaco found it hard on the firm pitch to keep the ball on the floor which played into Crediton’s hands as they were determined and were always first to the ball. The half ended even at 1-1. The second half was much the same. Monaco couldn’t take their chances and were guilty of lapses of concentration which Crediton exploited and caught Monaco on the break to score on four occasions with well worked moves and good finishes
