Twyford Monaco had a good 5-1 win against Beacon Knights to move back into second place in the league. The visitors battled hard but it was Monaco's ability to pass the ball well for long periods that wore the visitors down. Matt Watts put them ahead and Nick Merriam capitalised on a goalkeeping error to make it two. Shortly after Merriam scored his second after a good move involving Dan Verrier and Watts. The visitors pulled a goal back to reduce the arrears before half time.
With Alex Wright and Jack Zilch excelling in front of Keeper Tom Haines it was always going to be hard for the Beacon Knights forwards who could barely get a kick. The energy of Tom Roberts and the tackling of Aaron Farebrother enabled Monaco to finish off the game with Verrier hooking in a shot at the far post to make it four and Merriam completing his hat trick with a shot off the crossbar.
