Matt Watts scored a contender for Monaco's goal of the season in a very impressive 6-1 away win at Broadclyst.

Monaco coped well with the wet conditions to play some really good football and create plenty of chances with Aaron Farebrother covering every inch of the pitch and wide players Dan Verrier and Tom Roberts using the ball well. The home keeper intercepted many of the early throughballs as they skidded off the pitch but he was finally caught out when Nick Merriam latched on to a pass and scored. From then onwards Monaco pressed and pressed and went two up when Watts spotted the keeper slightly off his line and hooked a great volley into the top coner from way outside the area. Bradley Kelly turned the ball in for number three after a goalkeeping error and then unselfishly squared the ball for Anthony Ansell to make it four before the break.  The second half saw Monaco playing against the slope but continue to press high up the field with full backs Toby Hogan and Connor Tucker able to join in with the attacks. Alex Wright and Jack Zilch didnt put a foot wrong all game and Tom Haines in goal had little to do all game and had little chance with Broadclyst's long range effort.

Merriam capped an impressive performance notching his second and then completing his hat trick from outside the area.
