Twyford Lyon were unlucky to go out of the cup against Bishops Lydeard. The 4-1 score line flattered the visitors as Lyon should have gone in at the break with a lead after hitting the woodwork twice and playing some good football Instead it was 1-0 to Lydeard at half time. The visitor's direct style was effective and they soon increased their lead with two more goals before Lyon hit back when Anthony Ansell converted a penalty after he was fouled in the box. Lyon kept working hard but could not get back into the game and the visitors scored again to kill the game off.
