Lyon had their first game for many weeks away at Nether Stowey and came away with a very convincing 12 - 3 win. They managed to play some very good passing football on a bumpy pitch and soon found themselves two goals up with breakaway goals from Tom Roberts and Alex Wright. Toby Hogan was in fine form and scored twice in the first half and Dan Verrier finished well to send Lyon in at half time with a five goal lead. Lyon were guilty of some loose play at times which allowed Bishops Lydeard to score three times in he second half but it was mainly one way traffic with Nick Merriam scoring 4 times and the other goals coming from Anthony Ansell(2) and Tom Haines.Monaco hosted Culm United in the Exeter League and were narrowly beaten 3-2 in a very hard fought but good natured game which was nail biting from start to finish. The sites had little between them but it was the clinical finishing of Culm's Ross Oaten that proved to be the difference.
