On a cold wet and windy day we lined up in our first match against a strong looking Culm side we started well scoring early through a debut goal for Rees Wiggins a super finish, in difficult conditions Isaac Pedrick in goal did well to control a wet ball, Culm came back strongly and despite some excellent defending from Harry Cram and Henry Elsworthy we conceded.
The Culm side seemed to cope with conditions better and scored again to take the lead before half time. The second half saw an even start with Henry White and Rees Wiggins having a hard battle in the midfield, also the second half gave a debut to William Criddle and despite being in the thick of a battle in worsening conditions he put in an excellent display.
Aiden Horne made a great run from midfield to finish well and get a well deserved goal a reward for him for working very hard. A good performance by all despite being against a strong side. Well done to you all.
