Twyford Under 13 Girls played last seasons league winners Ashmoor and in an entertaining game lost 5-1. The girls matched Ashmoor for the first half with numerous chances on goal but unable to score. The first half ended 1-0 to Ashmoor thanks to some outstanding goalkeeping from Amy Sanders. In the second half Twyford continued to play well with some excellent defending from Alice Butler and Laura Huxtable. Midfielders Amy Chanin, Beth Leaney, Holly Jackson, Robyn Freed and Fern Bernhardt worked well together in midfield and after playing last week with severe bruising Katie Adcock worked well up front putting pressure on the Ashmoor defence throughout the game. Chloe Moore gave an excellent account of herself when she came on in the second half.
