Twyford Under 13 girls had their most exciting match of the season so far. They came up against Crediton and found themselves 2-0 down at half time. Twyford went back on the pitch with Amy Sanders taking on the striker role, she had an immediate impact on the game scoring from the kick off and Beth Leaney scoring within 5 minutes to take the score to 2-2. This gave the Twyford team confidence and began to play good football. With some good play from Crediton especially from Amy Salter they scored twice to bring the score to 4-2 but Twyford did not stop pressurising and Amy Sanders scored her second of the game to bring the score to 4-3 and Twyford kept attacking and were caught out on the counter attack to concede again. Beth Leaney then went onto score again and Twyford kept the pressure on and despite chances were unable to get the equaliser. This was a well fought out game with good performances from Holly Jackson, Chloe Moore and Laura Huxtable.
