Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U13's 2009/10

Twyford Under 13s played League leaders Tiverton Town in a local derby match.  Twyford were determined to perform better in this game than they had in their previous encounter.  Twyford closed down the Tiverton Town girls and making it difficult for them to play their usual free flowing passing football.  Despite some excellent play from the Twyford team they went in at half time 4-0 down.  In the second half, the team was changed in order for all the girls to have an opportunity to play.  It took the girls a while to adjust to the changes and in this time conceded a couple more goals.  The girls never gave up and put in a fantastic performance throughout the game with excellent performances from Millie McLear, Beth Leaney, Laura Kent and goalie Amy Sanders.  The final score was 10-0 to Tiverton but this was no reflection on the spirited team work and performance by the local Twyford girls.  Alice Butler, Robyn Freed and Chloe Moore never stopped working hard in this team performance.  Katie Adcock also played well with good passing and battling throughout.
