Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U13's 2009/10

Twyford Girls Under 13s travelled to Crediton in their first mid week fixture.  The weather was ideal and the girls began the game in confident style.  There was some good attacking play from Robyn, Beth and Millie.  Chloe played well on the right of the pitch giving Crediton very little output on this side.  At half time the score was 0-0 and Laura Kent came on and in the second half the midfield and strikers played the best football of the season and were rewarded with a goal from Laura Kent.  The girls continued to battle with the defensive duo of Alice Butler and Laura Huxtable making it difficult fo rCrediton to push forward.  Crediton changed things around and brought Erica Guppy out of goal and she made a big difference in the midfield and she went on to score the equaliser.  Twyford then went on the attack again and Millie McLear scored to give Twyford a deserved lead.  A battle then ensued withend to end football and Crediton's second goal came with minutes to go.  Amy Sanders had little to do in goal but distributed the ball excellently.  This was an outstanding performance from this team and will take this into their next game against Phoenix on 6th May.
