The opening game of the season saw our newly formed Twyford U15s face Barnstaple on a glorious autumn afternoon. Our team comprised of Emily & Jess Payne, Harriet Chafer, Morgan Edgcumbe and Karli Tebby.
Barnstaple proved strong opponents, passing the ball around the pitch and having numerous attempts on the Twyford goal. Their physical play proved too much for our young U15s despite good link up play between Harriet Chafer and Karli Tebby. Our Twyford side soldiered on trying to retain possession and sneak a goal but a couple of half chances from Karli Tebby went wide of the target.
Even though the final result was a 10-0 defeat, our girls never gave up and kept playing until the final whistle with smiles on their faces.
