Match Report - Twyford Spartans - G U15's 2009/10

Our last game was a friendly fixture with our hosts Braunton who like Torridgeside were experienced and well disciplined. Harriet Chafer donned the number 1 shirt for this fixture and produced a series of important clearances with both her hands and feet.



Emily Payne had a couple of runs down the right hand flank and managed to play in Morgan Edgcumbe and Karli Tebby. Both teams started strongly and we began to look more organised on the pitch. Braunton’s persistence and patience was rewarded with a goal which seemed to knock the wind out of our sails. The final score another 10-0 defeat but an enjoyable friendly game of football.



A good team effort once more with lots of smiling faces even when we were several goals down. With many of our players not having played in a competitive environment before, stepping onto a pitch with spectators and managers yelling from the touchline, our girls coped very well. As the season progresses I am sure their fortune will change and those missed opportunities will be hitting the back of the net.
