Match Report - Twyford Spartans - B U8's 2009/10

Type: EDYL = Exeter & District Youth League

In this game we played a strong looking Raiders team.  The game started with us conceding an early goal , but yet again as seems the norm for this group of players they showed great spirit to get back into the game, creating chances but before we could score Holly Rendall in goal had to make a great double save,  Following that a terrific through ball from Alex Smith put Aiden Horne into finish well.  Henry White and Alex Smith had shots on goal before Aiden Horne nicked another.  In the second half more of the same from both sides making this a great game to watch  a credit to both sides, after a half time shuffle Alex Smith and Harry Cram at the back tackled hard and the midfield trio of Rees, Henry White and Max Rendall ran up and down the pitch working hard to create as well as coming back to defend, this game was looking like a draw but again the determination came through a run down the right from Aiden Horne followed by a good cross saw Rees Wiggins pop up at the far post to knock in the winner, 

Another great performance the team worked very hard against good opposition . Well done to all.
