Although Twyford Tots were playing the last two fixtures of the day, they showed tremendous composure and determination in their opening game. Both teams created chances in front of goal, but it was the Moors side that came closest to scoring. Twyford’s keeper Aaron Long proved a safe pair of hands denying a number of shots on his goal.
Isaac Pedrick and Toby Place formed a very resilient partnership in defence often under pressure, cleanly sliding into their opponents to win the ball. Captain Louis Bolduc commanded the midfield challenging for every ball and passing accurately through to Max Rendall and Jay Stansfield.
A fantastic close contest played with the greatest of spirit that deserved the draw. The confidence of the young Twyford Tots side is visibly growing on the pitch as they learn to play as a team. This was an excellent performance from both teams and a joy to watch.
