Nick Merriam scored seven of Twyford Monaco Âs goals in their 9 Â 0 win against Newton St Cyres. It was one way traffic from the start as Monaco took their time to find the openings by keeping the ball well. A goal kick struck straight at Merriam enabled him to open the scoring and he soon made it two after running on to an Aaron Farebrother through ball. Dan Verrier made it three soon after when his cross shot deceived the goalkeeper and Harry Venner smashed in number for before half time. The Monaco defence of Tom Haines, Alex Wright, Connor Tucker and Matt Gillett coped well with the opposing forwards and Jack Zilch was able to get forward to help the attackers.
Monaco continued to press in the second half with Farebrother, Verrier, Anthony Ansell, Tom Roberts and Toby Hogan creating chance after chance for Merriam to complete his haul.
