Twyford Monaco potentially faced their toughest test of the season so far when they hosted their nearest challengers Beacon Knights but they raised their standard and ran out convincing 8 ÂÂ 1 winners. Matt Gillett and Aaron Farebrother shared the man of the match honour with the quality of their passing but it was a complete team performance that has been unmatched so far this season.
After a nervous opening, Monaco took the lead when Matt Watts found himself with time to finish on the far post and soon after Nick MerriamÂÂs looping header made it two. Merriam followed up soon after to make it three before the break. Monaco came out of the traps quickly in the second half and Harry Venner scored from close range of effectively end the contest. Dan Verrier made it five soon after and ended up scoring a fine hat trick as the visitors tired. Jack Zilch completed the scoring with Beacon Knights getting a late consolation.
