Twyford Monaco U12 came up against a battling Topsham Town but ended up with a comfortable 4 - 0 scoreline. Jack Zilch, Nick Merriam, Dan Verrier and Harry Denson looked dangerous early on and had looked dangerous early on and had a host of missed chances before Merriam opened the scoring after running onto a fine Matt Watts through ball. Monaco keeper Tom Haines had hardly anything to do as Monaco kept pressing and it was no surprise when Aaron Farebrother headed number two before half time. Alex Wright and Harry Venner were far too strong for the opposing attackers and the full backs Connor Tucker and Matt Gillett combined well with the midfielders. Anthony Ansell scored twice in the second half. The first finishing well from a Farebrother through ball and the second turning in a Merriam cross on the far post.
