Monaco's penultimate league game of the season was an away fixture against Cullompton which ended in a fine 8 - 0 win. Monaco were playing against a strong wind on a firm pitch in the first half which made it difficult to find a rhythm. Dan Verrier and Harry Denson were enjoying some freedom down the flanks and were peppering the Cully penalty area with crosses which could have resulted in a number of early goals. However it wasn't until late in the first half that Monaco took a deserved lead when Aaron Farebrother slid a through ball into Nick Merriams path who finished confidently. Verrier dispatched a free kick into the top corner minutes later.
The second half was a completely one sided affair with Ricky Morrey Jones untroubled in goal and Monaco scoring some good goals from distance. Harry Venner smacked in number three and Anthony Ansell made it four from outside the box before Verrier scored his second free kickof the game. Merriam completed his hat trick as the Cullompton defence tired and Alex Wright thumped in a 30 yarder for good measure near the end.
Matt Gillett, Connor Tucker, Toby Hogan and Tom Haines all produced excellent performances.
