Twyford Under 13's travelled to Wellington for their first game of 2009. Twyford started slow but kept Wellington at bay for the first 15 minutes before conceding the first goal. Another goal followed from Wellington before Tom Nunez pulled one back for Twyford from a Reece Burnett rebound. Twyford upped their game in the 2nd half but were unable to take their chances. Outstanding stand-in keeper Matthew Mann was unable to save a Wellington cross/shot which luckily crept into the top corner. Twyford kept battling which paid off with a left footed shot from Nathan Hill to bring the score to 3-2. Twyford put Wellington under continued pressure but were unable to find an equaliser. Harry Justice, Liam Short and Connor Daveridge worked hard. Also playing well were Toyga Kekilli. Jacob Snowdon and Alex Bressington.
