Twyford Under 12 Girls played their best football this season when they took on West Exe . Twyford started the brighter and through some good passing and attacking football they took the lead with a well taken shot from Amy Sanders. The girls continued to put the pressure on the West Exe defence but were unlucky not to go 2-0 up. The Twyford girls were unlucky when the West Exe strike burst away from the Twyford defence with only the keeper to beat to equalize. Hollie Seatherton and Amy Sanders continued to play good passing football to apply more pressure on the West Exe team. Against the run of play West Exe scored another. West Exe Goalie pulled off an outstanding save to stop Twyford from equalising. Twyford had numerous shots on target but could not take their chances. Towards the end of the second half whilst Twyford were in search of a deserved equalizer West Exe pulled away to score two more goals to make the final score 4-1 to West Exe . Robyn Freed was girl of the match as she tackled strongly and never gave up despite the many knocks she took during the game. Chloe Hawkins was resolute in defence pulling off some amazing tackles throughout the game.
