Twyford Under 14s girls played their first matches of the season in the Mid Devon Mini League this weekend. In their first game they played Moors Youth and in an entertaining game which saw Twyford play some good footballing moves, they just could not put the goal into their oppositions net. Together with player of the match Kate Butler, Alice Butler, Kiki Maryan and Megan Lister played well together.The defence was strong with Jasmine Hill, Beth Holloway and Lauren Webber assisting goalie Philippa England to keep a clean sheet. In the second game they were up against a young Bradninch side and down to some brilliant goalkeeping from the young Bradninch goalie kept the score to 6-1 to Twyford. Scoring for Twyford were Kate Butler (2), Amy Sanders (2), Kiki Maryan and Alice Butler. Player of the match was Amy Sanders. Also playing well in her first game for a while for Twyford was Jamie Freed.
